Welcome to the Mind in Context Lab!

We study the ways that social contexts of culture, society, and ecology shape the ways that people see each other and the world around them. Our research incorporates psychological, anthropological, and evolutionary approaches to understand how contexts shape minds across time.

The lab is directed by Dr Rita Anne McNamara. We are located in the School of Psychology at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Have a wander around to see more about who we are, what we do, and how you can get involved.
